Reflective Practice: Tools and Challenges in Difficult Contexts

Reflective practice (RP) plays a prominent role in both the initial training and continuous professional development of teachers. It helps teachers to improve on their teaching by thinking about experiences, identifying areas for improvement making changes. This article discusses RP as vital component teacher presents range tools practical strategies encouraging supporting journey becoming reflective practitioners, drawing my personal experience pre-service practice, whom I interviewed. But it also leverages Cameroon context, which reflects realities most Global South countries, general, Sub-Saharan Africa, particular, explain how why many would not work very well difficult contexts suggests ways working such can navigate challenges. Given that is process requires ongoing engagement dedication, this makes case teachers, especially those contexts, be encouraged supported process.
